The authors of two books featuring the Klamath River and the native people who have long lived along its banks will be at Eureka Books for Arts Alive! Both books were published by Great Oak Press which specializes in books by and about Native American culture and history. Chag Lowery’s book Soldiers Unknown is a graphic novel that tells the story of cousins from the Yurok Tribe called up for service in World War I. Kishan Lara-Cooper’s book Ka’m-t’em: A Journey Toward Healing presents indigenous testimonials of resistance, renewal, advocacy, resilience, beauty and awakening.
